Coffee Over Cardio is a coffee brand with a bit of a twist! Pastel colored bags with cute designs & fun flavors make them unique and grab the attention of many customers. They’re premium roasted coffee has just a hint of some fantastically named flavors such as their Chocolate Donate and Messy Bun (cinnamon Roll) flavors.
When entering the amazon marketplace they ran into some issues, having to compete with some of the “Big Dogs” in the space that sell their bags for a fraction of the price.
Finding the Profit!
When we came on board with Coffee Over Cardio, their current sales on amazon were roughly $2,000 a month with no Ad Spend history. This was spread pretty evenly across all sku’s with no real hero sku to lean on. After some initial optimizations we started a spend strategy where we focused on customer defense and marketplace visibility through brand specific advertisings and broad reaching targeting through broad reaching search ads based off products specs.
After doing this we saw one campaign out performing the rest by far. We saw Birthday Cake come out of the gate with a 20% ACOS%. We were surprised as the other flavors were hovering between a $1.25 – $2.00 ROAS. So we investigated and found that people were searching for “coffee related birthday gifts.” This is where we started to see serious growth. We took a brand that was only generating $2,000 a month in revenue to $10,000+ in monthly sales in less than a 3 month period. Around 500% growth with less than a 15% TACOS%, being profitable from the start.
